the pressure in the atmosphere is called atmospheric pressure
the magnitude of atmospheric pressure increases as we go deep into the sea level and it decreases as we move upward on the mountains .
ex -when a balloon is inflated we have to close its mouth immediately as otherwise the air escapes because the gases exert pressure in all directions.
the envelope of air surrounding the earth is called atmosphere

Hey mate!!!
Here is your answer....
Atmospheric pressure, sometimes also called barometric pressure,is the pressure within the atmosphere of Earth.Inmost circumstances atmospheric pressure is closely approximated by the hydrostatic pressure caused by the weight of air above the measurement point.
If the force exerted on a surface by the air above it as gravity pulls it to Earth.A atmospheric pressure is commonly measured with a barometer.I n a barometer,a column of mercury in a glass tube rises or falls as the weight of the atmosphere changes.
