Answer:

Pressure with Height: pressure decreases with increasing altitude. The pressure at any level in the atmosphere may be interpreted as the total weight of the air above a unit area at any elevation. At higher elevations, there are fewer air molecules above a given surface than a similar surface at lower levels.

Actually, Welcome to the concept of Pressure exerted by atmosphere.

Atmospheric pressure :- The pressure exerted by air at any point on the surface of earth is called atmospheric pressure.

It's also written as atm.

It's value is 760mm of hg.

Atmospheric pressure decrease with altitude because the pressure of air exerted is maximum at the surface of earth and minimum when we go to higher altitude.

Air has also weight by virtue of its weight it also exert pressure at any surface of the earth.

1 atm = \bold{</strong><strong>1</strong><strong>.</strong><strong>0</strong><strong>1</strong><strong> </strong><strong>×</strong><strong> </strong><strong>{10}^{5} </strong><strong>pascal</strong><strong>}
