I have a simple definition and explanation!
The unit of relative atomic masses is called atomic mass unit.
the atomic mass unit is 1/12 the mass of one atom of carbon-12th.
when this atomic mass unit is expressed in grams, it is: 1amu = 1.66 multipy by 10 Ray's to power -24g.
