ATP ( Adenosine Triphosphate ) is the energy currency of the cell it is formed from the energy, which is released during respiration. One molecule of ADP adenosine diphosphate and one inorganic phosphate ( P ) use this energy and form ATP.
ADP + ( P ) ------–-----------> ADP ~ ( P ) = ATP
This is an endothermic reaction when the terminal P group of ATP is broken down using water about 30.5 kJ/mol is released.
ATP is called energy currency of the cell because it is used by the body for all energy dependent processes such as muscle contraction, nerve impulse conduction, Protein synthesis metabolism, movement etc

hey!!✌✌
ur answer is ......
Adenosine triphosphate is a complex organic chemical that participates in many processes.
ATP can be produced by a number of distinct cellular processes; it is called energy currency because all functions in our body are performed due to atp.
