autotrophs are the organisms that do not depend on other organisms for food.
they are capable of doing their own food they are usually producers (green plants) who do their food and supply for the consumers (heterotrophs).

example  - green plants are the ones.they usually make their own food using sunlight ,air water etc for the process of photosynthesis.

Hello yaar,

Autotrophs are the organisms which prepare their own food by making use of simple inorganic substances. They act as producers of food for other organisms (heterotrophs).

For example: Green plants prepare their food through carbondioxide and sunlight and they are the producers of food for humans and animals.
