  • For the synthesizing of their food materials by utilising nutrients like some minerals and water from Soil, CO2 from air in the presence of Sunlight in the chloroplasts
  • They are capable of producing complex compounds like Carbohydrates,proteins, lipids etc. from these simple substances
  • Example :- Green Plants and some photosynthetic bacteria
