Baba Ramchandra led the peasant movement in Awadh. He was a sanyasi, who had earlier been to Fiji as an indentured labourer. He started the movement against talukdars and landlords, who demanded high rent and taxes from the peasants.

Hey Mate :)

Here's your answer :-

BABA RAMCHANDRA & HIS ROLE

* In Awadh, peasants were led by Baba Ramchandra - a sanyasi.

* Baba Ramchandra, was an indentured labourer

who had been to Fiji himself.

* He listened to the grievances of Awadh peasants.

* He organised the peasants and made them to start 'nai-dhobi bhands' so that the Landlords would be deprived from the basic services of even barbers and washermen.

* Later on, he was one the leading figures in the oudh Kisan Sabha then it was formed along with Jawaharlal Nehru.

Hope it helped.

Thank you (≡^∇^≡)
