Behrman's Masterpiece was a single Ivy leave that was painted on the brick wall. Behrman's masterpiece was the picture of the leaves he drew. Sue saidso because it was so real and was soconvincing to Johnsy that it was a real leaf, that it saved Johnsy's life.

The story the Last leaf is one of the finest works of O Henry which focuses on the human elements like sacrifices, hope, and friendship.

• At, the end of the story, Johnsy was every ill and suffering from pneumonia, she hope that the fall of the last leaf will decide her death.

• In contrast to it, Old Behram's came out of the storm and drew in that stormy night and sacrifice himself so that Johnsy can leave,  the masterpiece was the last leaf in the brick wall.
• Sue said because it was so realistic which gave Johnsy a ray of hope to live and to rely upon things.
