What is done here is:

If the answer were not there, you would have to break it the way it has been done by yourself.

in this case cant we take middle term or elongate it and take long division?
bcoz they didn't mention in the text book.to do.with this way..
you cant change the value of any terms.. you can only write it differently.. like 4a = 2a+2a = 3a +a = 7a - 3a.... value doesn't change
it is doing the same.. breaking the middle term into two parts so that its product becomes the constant term
