Bela' s method

Solution :

Bela's method : It is the method of multiplication of two numbers.

The numbers are multiplied by seperating each number by its values of digits at that number.

lets think

we have to multiply any two unknown numbers

ie. ab and cd

So we can write

$ab \: = \: a \times \: 10 \: + \: b \\ \\ cd \: = \: c \: \times \: 10 \: + \: d$

So,

When we have to multiply

ab and cd

we have to multiply each part of one number with the others parts of another number.

like,

$ab \times cd =( a \times \: 10 + \: b )(c \times \: 10 + d)$

= 100 ac + 10 ad + 10 bc + bd

So according to Bela ' s method =

$ab \times cd = 100ac + 10ad + 10bc \: + cd$
