bhabar is the region south of the lower himalayas and the shivalik hill. it is alluvium apron of sediments washed down from the shiwaliks along their theen edge of the gangetic plain.

The Bhabar is that narrow belt of the plain which is covered with pebbles and lies along the foothills of the Shiwaliks from the Indus to the Tista.
