binomial nomenclature is a technique of giving scientific name to organisms in two words I.e genus and species first wird is genus and second is species

BINOMIAL NOMENCLATURE IS THE SYSTEM OF SCIENTIFIC NAMING. EG. FROG- Rana tigrina, MANGO- Mangifera indica.

ADAVNTAGES OF SCIENTIFIC SYSTEM OF NAMING ARE:

1. IT CREATES A UNIFORMITY OF NAMING ORGANISMS ALL OVER THE WORLD.

2. IT HELPS TO CLASSIFY ORGANISMS IN A NEAT AND ORGANISED WAY.

 

IT HAS TWO PARTS: genus and species.

in Mangifera indica, Mangifera is the genus and starts with a capital letter, whereas indica is the species name and starts with a small letter.
