Biodegradable polymers :

  • These are the special and different class of polymers which breaks down after it intends purpose by decomposition process which results in natural bi-products like Carbon dioxide , Nitrogen, Water, Biomass and Inorganic salts etc.

  • These polymers are found in both naturally and Artificially and largely consist of Ester, Amide, and either functional groups.

  • Their properties and breakdown mechanism are determined by their proper structure.

  • These polymers are often synthesized by condensation reactions, polymerization and metal catalysts.
