The waste which decomposes in soil is known as bio degradable...
Eg Rotten vegetables, fruits, etc...
The waste which do not decompose in soil is known as non bio degradable...
Eg. Plastic, steel parts, etc....

Bio-degradable waste means those which can be degraded in soil. Wastes such as paper, vegetable peels etc are example of bio-degradable waste.
Non-biodegradable waste means those which cannot be degraded in soil . Wastes such as plastic, CD's etc are examples of non-biodegradable waste.
