Biodegradable waste is the waste material which can be broken down naturally by act of microorganisms whereas non biodegradable waste is waste material which cannot be broken down naturally. example: food waste,paper waste are biodegradable but plastic,tyres, tins. chemicals are non biodegradable.

any waste which can be broken down naturrally by microorganisms into its simpler or non toxic is called biodegradable waste

waste whuch does not break down naturally into simpler component and remaina in the environment for a long time is called non biodegradable waste.
