The bifocal stream is offered at class 11-12 by the state under its vocational education scheme mainly for those who wish to go to professional courses at graduation level.
The vocational courses are unaided courses conducted by the Department of Technical Education. The number of seats available at various colleges are limited and this creates demand in the subject. The scarcity in number of seats caters lot of demand and only top scorers of SSC make it to these courses.
The fees for these courses are also very high. Moreover, the exams in these subjects are of 200 marks which will make the aspirants skip biology and second language.
