Bio gas are produced by decomposition of animal as well as human waste, dead and decayed plants, feed stocks etc by storing it in a tank for several days.
These various wastes are digested by the microbes which feeds on these biomass.
Upon digestion these microbes/micro organisms produces methane and other natural gases like hydrogen etc.
The conversion of these substances to gases is done in the absence of oxygen and takes about three weeks.
The process of anaerobic digestion produces actual bio gas.
