Biomass is made up of 75% of methane. It is prepared from organic matter like cow dung, vegetable peels etc. Which is called slurry.

To obtain bioenergy using biomass

A setup is made in which slurry is added ta a part of it. Under anaerobic condition chemical reaction takes place and energy is produced in the form of gases like methane, carbon dioxide

Methane is used in generating electricity and remaining residue 8s used as manure and fertilizers.
