⏩Answer:- A very large ecosystem on land having distinct types of vegetation and animal life is called a biome.

Biomes include both the flora and fauna but, it is mainly the plant formations which are used as the basis of their grouping.The grouping is listed in order of the availability of soil, water and heat.

The world is divided into five principle biomes:-

1) Forests

2) Savanna

3) Grassland

4) Desert

5) Tundra
