⚡ Biomolecules⚡

✨The living matter is composed of mainly six elements — carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, phosphorus and sulfur. These elements together constitute about 90% of the dry weight of the human body. Several other functionally important elements are also found in the cells.

⚡There are the type of biomolecules⚡

✴ carbohydrates

✴lipids

✴ protein

✴ Nucleic acid
________________________

✨ carbohydrates = monosaccharides

✨ lipids = glycerol and fatty acids

✨ protein = amino acid

✨ nucleic acid = nucleotides

Biomolecules :-

chemical compounds found in living organisms.

Types of Biomolecules:-

1)Micromolecules

:-small size molecules .

:-low molecules weight.

:-higher solubility.

:-micromolecules may be organic or inorganic .eg water, gases ,minerals(IO) enzymes ,sugar ,amino acid etc .

2)Macromolecules

:-Large size molecules .

:- higher moleculer weight (<1000D).

:-Less solubility .

:- Macromolecules are organic in nature.

eg. - polysachrides.

-protein.

- Lipid .

-Nuleic acid.

:- Expect lipid ,rest three Macromolecules formed by polymerisations.

:-Cellular pool - sum total of all chemical compounds found in cell .

:- more than 5000 chemicals found in cellular pool.

I hope help u.
