The world network of biosphere reserves, is a collection of all 669 biosphere reserves in 120 countries. Biosphere reserves are created to promote and demonstrate a balance relationship between man and the biosphere. The Indian government has established 18 biosphere reserves in india.

• Pachmarhi biosphere reserve - madhya pradesh.
