The process of completely breaking down of food in the presence of oxygen into carbon dioxide and water and energy in the form of ATP is called oxybiotic or biotic or aerobic respiration whereas During an anaerobic or anoxybiotic or abiotic respiration the food is not completely broken down to release energy in the absence of oxygen and give ethyl alcohol+carbon dioxide + energy in case of plants and lactic acid and energy in case of animals
