what is Birkenhead????

Hi there!

Birkenhead  is a town in England. It is opposite of the city of Liverpool. It is along the bank of River Mersey. It is situated on the Wirral Peninsula. It has a population of more than 325,264.

Birkenhead is a troopship in February 1851 more than a 150 years ago ,it was carrying soldiers and their families to South Africa. there were six hundred and thirty people on the ship .in the ship all so
dier are new and UN experience. few are officcers . on 25th February Birkenhead is near the cape town but in fortunately ship struck to a hidden rock in the sea . And ship split in to two parts. in this way many life boats are destroyed and 3 of them in the usual condition. so the officer order that women and children first .as boats sailed away . the all the soldiers sunk in the water.
