Donation may be of whole blood, or of specific components directly.  and only a person above the age of 18 can donate the blood

Blood donation is a thing that a 18+ person can do. We donate blood to blood banks , So a needy person can utilise it. Depending upon blood group.

First they do medical check up of donator.
A person can donate blood after 6 months after donation..

And it is a good thing..
