Blood pressure is the rate at which your heart pushes boold though your veins. Blood pressure is measured in millimeters of mercury (mm Hg) using a bp device . The top number is the maximum pressure your heart exerts while beating (systolic pressure), and the bottom number is the amount of pressure in your arteries between beats (diastolic pressure).

Blood Pressure: Lateral pressure or force exerted by blood on the wall of arteries is called blood pressure. It is measured with an instrument called Sphygmomanometer. Systolic pressure isthe pressure of blood during ventricular systole. It is maximum and ressponsible for flow of blood in arteries. Distolic pressure is the pressure of blood during ventricular distole. It is minimum.
