Blue vitriol is the common name for Copper(II) sulfate pentahydrate (Chemical formula: CuSO4.5H2O). The name is most probably drawn from the common name of Sulfuric acid, "Oil of vitriol", and the blue color of crystalline CuSO4.5H2O

And

Ferrous Sulfate or iron(II) sulfate is most commonly encountered as the blue-green heptahydrate, known since ancient times as copperas or green vitriol. ... At 90° C., the heptahydrate form loses water to form the colorless monohydrate.

Hope it helps!
