A blueshift is any decrease in wavelength, with a corresponding increase in frequency, of an electromagnetic wave; the opposite effect is referred to as redshift. In visible light, this shifts the color from the red end of the spectrum to the blue end.

When the light source goes far from the earth then the frequency of spectrum lines will decreases and the wave lenght will increases. This increasing of wave length due to The Doppler Efeect if called Red Shift.
When the light source comes near to the earth then the freqency of spectrum lines will increases and the wave length will decreases. This decreasing in wave length due to the Doppler Effect is called Blue Shift.
