➡Bohr's Atomic Model ⬅
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

▪After the failure of Rutherford and J.J Thomson , Neil Bohr presented his atomic model . It's Postulates are As follows =>

〰The entire mass of an Atom is concentrated in the Nucleus which occupies the central position in an Atom .

〰The mass of the nucleus is due to the positively charged Protons and Neutral particles called Neutrons .

〰The Electrons in an Atom are not stationary . They revolve around the nucleus at very high speed .

⭐Now, a contradiction to what was said by Rutherford, Bohr explained that an electron does not radiate any energy until it is present in its own shell. it is only when an electron moves up to the Excited state or the Ground state that is begins to radiate energy ! This removed the basic Failure of Rutherford 's model.

✔In this way , Bohr became the first one to introduce the concept of Quantization .

◾Anomalies of Bohr's Model =>

↪He could explain the spectrum of Only Hydrogen and not the multi electron atoms .

↪He couldn't explain the Dual nature of matter .

↪He couldn't explain the shape of Molecules.

↪He couldn't explain the effect of magnetic field on spectral lines ; Zeeman effect .

↪He couldn't explain the effect of electric field on spectral lines i,e Stark Effect.
