In the poem 'The Ball Poem' the poet tries to describe the hard times of life, what life actually means for. The child is unaware about the world. It (losing the ball) is his first time when he lost sth which he loved. The beloved are not going to be always with us.

The lost ball teaches the boy how to overcome from pain and move on.

Everyone should not cry for what the loose but should move on to get better than that.
