CHLORO-ALKALI PROCESS.

Explanation:

The solution of salt in water is nothing but brine solution.When electricity is passed through the solution,it results in the formation of NaOH,H2o&chlorine .As Naoh(alkali) and chlorine is formed,it is known as chloro alkali process.

Nacl+H20>(electricity)>NaoH+H2o+cl2.
