Here if bromine water is added in the solution then if it turns pink then the compound solution is said to be unsaturated

It is a test which is used to differentiate between saturated and unsaturated compounds
The compound in which bromine water gets decolourised is the unsaturated compound whereas the compound in which bromine water doesn't get decolourised is a saturated compound
