A bronchial-artery embolization (BAE) is a procedure where x-rays are used to examine the bronchial arteries (arteries in your lung). This allows the doctor to find the bronchial artery which is bleeding and causing you haemoptysis (coughing up of blood).

Bronchial artery embolization( BAE) is an effective non-surgical and non-invasive way of treating hemoptysis( blood coughing).
In this procedure, at first the determination of the right arteries( the arteries which are to be embolized) is done using angiography and other findings, and is then correlated clinically.
Superselective catheterization of the particular bronchial arteries is done which is then followed by particulate embolization, thus controlling bleeding.
