These are, succulent plants that have stiff, , rounded stems ranging in height from 3 to 10 feet. They are clothed with fleshy, green,  oblong shaped leaves with wavy margins. Their flowers are greenish-white or red and they daintily hang from atop the stems.

Bryophyllum plant reproduce by vegetative propagation. vegetative propagation.
THe leaf allows the development of many shoot buds. the vegetative propagation is on it's leaves. When these plantlets break and fall from the parent leaf on the ground, a new plant is formed.
