Buddhism is a widespread Asian religion or philosophy, founded by Siddhartha also known as Gautama Buddha in India in the 5th century BC.

Teachings of Gautama Buddha are the principles of life that had been given by him after attaining the enlightenment.
The Four Noble Truths:
1. Suffering is common – Everyone suffers
2. Cause of Suffering – Self, greed, desires and ignorance
3. End of Suffering – Renunciation of greed and ignorance
4. Path to end Suffering – Correct way of living and following the eight fold path of life which is – Right Knowledge, Right Attitude, Right Speech, Right Action, Right Means of Livelihood, Right Effort, Right Awareness, and Right Meditation.

like Mahavira,Gautama Buddha too was born in ganasangha .he found that people everywhere were miserable and in conflict with each other .He began to think ,how can we get rid of this misery.
the Buddhism is also called the Great middle path.the teachings of Buddha came to be known as Buddhism
