There are three types of I/O buffering techniques used by operating systemsknown as single buffering, doublebuffering, and circular buffering. In a single buffer, when a process wants to access an I/O request, the data is stored in a section of the systemmemory.

Buffering happens when you are watching an online video or listening to an online audio, and it is loading to allow streaming.

Actually, it preloads and stores your video on a temporary cache so that the video does not stop during playback.

A number of strategies are used for buffering, mainly being single buffering, double buffering and manual double buffering.
