What is Buoyant Force or reason for upthrust?

Answer: Upthrust is caused due to the upward force which is exerted by a liquid on the body which is immersed in it. It is due to this force that the heavy objects seems to be lighter when immersed in a liquid. When an object is immersed in a liquid the buoyant force acts in all directions.
