Hello!

Here is your answer!
==========================================================

C60 means buckminister fullerene.

These are recently discovered allotrophic forms of carbon which were prepared for the first time by H W Kroto , Smalley and Robert Curt by the action of laser beam on the vapors of graphite.

The first known fullerene was C60 which contains 60 carbon atoms with small portion of C70 and the traces or compounds containing even upto 370 carbon atoms.

Fullerene was named buckminister fullerene after the american architect Buckminister Fuller because in C60 carbon atoms are arranged on the shape of a soccer ball and it looked like the geodesic dome designed by Buckminister Fuller.
