CAA is the short form of Citizenship Amendment Act enacted by Lok sabha and Rajya sabha,this act was introduced by Indian home minister Amit Shah , The bharatiye janata party , which is now leading the India government had promised to offer indian Citizenship to member od persecuted religious minorities who migrated from neighbouring countries.

• The act amends the Citizenship act of 1955 to give the eligibility for Indian citizenship to illegal migrants who are Buddhist,hindu,jains,parsisnand Christians from neighbouring countries. The bill/act doesn't mention muslims that's why many people from India are protesting against the CAA ,this bill has a huge relationship with NRC / national register of citizens.
