CaCO3 is Calcium Carbonate.
- It is found in nature in the form of limestone, chalk, marble ect.
- It is white fluffy powder.
- It is almost insoluble in water.
- It can be prepared by pasing CO2 through slaked lime also called Calcium Hydroxide Ca(OH)2 or by addition of Sodium Carbonate to calcium chloride.
Uses
- it is used in building materials in the form of marbles and manufacturing quicklime.
- It is used in manufacturing paper
- used tooth paste, chewing gums & filler of cosmetics
