Rowlatt act is also know as black act and inhuman act because the political leader we're arrested without reason fro tenure of 2 year

Gandhiji decided to launch a nationwide Satyagraha against the proposed Rowlatt Act in 1919 the reasons were because the Act was injustice it gave the government power to repress political activity it allowed detention of political prisoners without trial for 2 years it also gave was power to the police to search a place and arrest any person without trial . despite United opposition of the Indian members in the Imperial Legislative Council the Act was passed
