Sexual reproduction is a form of reproduction where two morphologically distinct types of specialized reproductive cells called gametes fuse together, involving a female's large ovum (or egg) and a male's smaller sperm. Each gamete contains half the number of chromosomes of normal cells.Feb

Plants and animals reproduce sexually. All kinds of insects, spiders, fish, frogs, snakes, tortoises, birds and mammals reproduce sexually. These animals have separate male and female individuals. The male and female individuals possess different reproductive systems. Each reproductive system is made up of definite organs.

In some animals such as earthworms and garden snails, the male and the female reproductive system are in the same individual. Such as living things is called a hermaphrodite.

The male animals possess a pair of reproductive organs called testes.
Each testis in a mature male produces sperm cells. The female animal has a pair of ovaries. The ovaries produce egg cells.
