cereal , beans etc and almost all vegetables and food contains carbon. Carbon is the basic building block to most cells in the body. It helps with cellular respiration by which your body releases energy stored in glucose and the glucose compound is composed of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen. Carbon makes up 18% of the human body. Sugars in the body like glucose hold carbonelements.

Carbon atoms make up an immence part of our molecular structure.Without carbon ,the many other elements that make up our bodies would not be able to function properly.Human beings are a "carbon based" life form.As we go about our lives ,our supply of carbon diminishes and needs replacing.Carbon is therefore, an essential component of the human diet.Luckily , the food we consume make carbon readily avaible to us.Fruits, vegetable, grains and meats all contain abundant stores of carbon.
