It is a chemical compound which js colourless, odorless, tasteless, flammable and a very dangerous gas. It's density is slightly less than the density of air. It consists of one Carbon atom and one oxygen atom. It's formula is CO, it's density is 1.14kg/m cube and ot's boiling point is -191.5 degree celcius.

carbon monoxide is produced due to incomplete burning of fossil fuel like coal petroleum and wood charcoal it is the most harmful pollutant fossil fuel suggest coal petrol and diesel contain carbon with react with oxygen to produce carbon dioxide however in sufficient oxygen the product formed in carbon dioxide.
