Carbon dioxide is a color less odor less gas which can turn clear lime water milky. It will also turn off the burning flames. Carbon dioxide is usually formed during burning in the presence of enough oxygen in the absence of enough oxygen a lot more complex and poisonous carbon monoxide is formed. Carbon dioxide plays a major role in maintaining the temperature of the earth. But now a days the increasing levels of carbon dioxide is being a threat for the whole life on earth. Because the plants which consumes carbon dioxide during photosynthesis iare beng destroyed at alarming levels. So there are no enough plants on this earth to consume the carbon dioxide. This is affecting the equilibrium state.
