Extra Information :-
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
→Cartilage is surrounded by a sheath of dense fibrous connective tissues known as "Perichondrium".
→The cells of Cartilage are known as "Chondrocytes".
→The Chondrocytes secrete a flexible matrix, known as "Chondrin".
→"Chondrin" is a "Mucoprotien".
→Cartilage is "Avascular" (not vascular).
→Nutrients diffuse into the cartilage from the nearby tissues.
→Blood vessels do not grow into the cartilage because Chondrocytes produce a chemical called "Antiangiogenesis factor".
→"Antiangiogenesis factor" is a "Potential anti-cancer agent".
