Answer:Caste is the name given to endogamous communities of India. They have similar internal culture and more or less follow similar occupations. These emeged during the feudal age that began in the early AD period.

Religion is a set of beliefs, rituals and worship of god/gods.

Same religion can be followed by different castes. Eg : Most castes in India.

And people of same castes can also follow different castes. Eg: Rajputs, Khatris and Jats of India and Pakistan, are split between Islam, Hinduism and Sikhism. Nadars of South Tamil Nadu, are split between Hinduism and Christianity. Goud Saraswats and Konkani Christians, are people of same caste heredity i.e. Goud Saraswat brahmins, following Hinduism and Christianity.
