Catalysts – A catalyst is a substance that changes the rate of a chemical reaction, but is chemically unchanged at the end of the reaction. An inhibitor does the opposite – it slows downchemical reactions.

Catalyst us a substance that increased the rate of chemical reaction without itself undergoing any chemical reaction. catalyst is needed to increase the rate of reaction between large amounts of reactants
