 \boxed{ \huge{ \mathcal{ \blue{cathode}}}}

⭐The cathode supplies electrons to the positively charged cations which flow to it from the electrolyte.

⭐The negative electrode in an electrolytic cell, toward which positively charged particles are attracted.

⭐The cathode has a negative charge because itis connected to the negatively charged end of an external power supply.

⭐In the battery the positive terminal is the cathode, and the negative terminal is the anode.

⭐For example, in some vacuum tubes, the cathode is heated to a high temperature to remove electrons from atoms that make up the cathode.
