Answer:

Cell junction is a junction which connect, communicate or packs adjoint cells.

1) Gap junction :

specialized intercellular connection between a multitude of animal cell-types. They directly connect the cytoplasm of two cells, which allows various molecules, ions and electrical impulses to directly pass through a regulated gate between cells.

2) Tight junction :

Tight junctions, also known as occluding junctions or zonulae occludentes (singular, zonula occludens) are multiprotein junctional complexes whose general function is to prevent leakage of transported solutes and water and seals the paracellular pathway. Tight junctions may also serve as leaky pathways by forming selective channels for small cations, anions, or water. Tight junctions are present only in vertebrates.

3) Adhering junction :

a cell junction whose cytoplasmic face is linked to the actin cytoskeleton. They can appear as bands encircling the cell (zonula adherens) or as spots of attachment to the extracellular matrix (adhesion plaques). Adherens junctions uniquely disassemble in uterine epithelial cells to allow the blastocyst to penetrate between epithelial cells

The description about cell junction is as follows:

Explanation:

The cell junction is a kind of cellular structure which consists of multiprotein complexes which function in providing the contact and adhesion between the neighbouring cells and between the cell and the extracellular matrix, The cell junctions are specific to animals.

The cell junction also maintains the paracellular transport.

The following are the different types of the cell junctions:

1. Desmosomes: These are the protein attachment between the adjacent cells.

2. Tight junction: These form stitches between the seams of the cells.

3. Gap junction: These are the narrow tunnels formed in between the cells these consists of proteins also called as connexons.
