The Cell Membrane :

It is also known as Plasma Membrane.

It is the outermost covering of a cell .

But in plants cell the cell wall is outermost layer and it is below the cell wall .

It protects the cell from outermost surrounding.

It controls the movement of particles inside and outside the cell .

It allows some selected substances to move in and out of the cell while at the same time it doesn't allow some materials to move in android out of the cell.
